My name is Bianca, I’m Brazilian, but I’ve been living in different places in the last 10 years, Bolivia, Uruguay, Sweden, The Netherlands, Mexico. Yes, I love moving around!
My work is a mix of graphic design and illustration, both exploring digital and analogue techniques.
My personal projects are completely tied to having fun and trying to turn off from rules, expectations, and conventional aesthetics, so when I'm creating I have this urge to be free and follow my intuition. Embracing the imperfections of my lines and many times going against the grid. My subjects can be very random, depending on the phase I'm in, but ornaments, excessive use of colours, rough brushes, and feelings are always present.
I find a lot of inspiration in "vernacular" design, especially from Latin America, I love the originality and maximalism of it. I try to bring to my work the flow of handwritten signs, the saturated colours, the humour, and the spontaneity of our culture.
